Through the centuries, the tragic love story of Abelard and Héloïse has been told and retold again and again. Enrico Garzili's musical Rage of the Heart is another version of this classical story.
Stephen DeCesare, the original Guibert in the world premiere production of Rage of the Heart, will be premiering a musical of his own creation on the story of Abelard and Heloise, entitled: "Forever, Heloise", Fall of 2000.
The CD of "Forever, Heloise" is available now!

Though it was recorded as a concept album - produced by no one less than David Cullen, with Michael Ball and Janet Mooney in the leading roles - and a production with a modern stage design was planned in 1988/89, it never made its way to the stage, until 1997.
On April 24th to 27th, 1997, Rage of the Heart had its world premiere in Providence, RI. Since the premiere was a success and very well reviewed critically, other theaters in New York, Connecticut and Massachussetts have enquired about booking Rage of the Heart into their theaters. As yet, no decisions have been taken about what the next step is.
But, if you'd like to hear the music before the show comes to your hometown, the album is still available and definitely worth listening to. Unfortunately, most of the information has been cut off the booklet of the new edition.
Basically, the following pages give you this information of the first edition.
