Why this page?
So, this is the new version of my Rage of the Heart website, which first went online in January 1997. As you see, a lot has change - and I hope improved - here.
Basically, this site was originally created to give people some information on a musical, which has never made it to the big stage (so far) and its background. And I hope, it will clear all questions you might have while listening to the score.
Unfortunately, my information about the musical is rather limited. And so I'm always looking for new material. In other words: should you know which cannot be found here, please e-mail me. Any information will be much appreciated!

Special thanks to ...
Elaine Gunter, who edited the text of "Don't forget that I belong to you!", Anna Seto who sent me the synopsis, Debbie Liao and Debbie Upton for taking the time to read and correct all lyrics, and to Beth Dambriunas, Cathy Uy, Robert De Jong and Elaine again for filling the gaps and to Inge Yunaeni for some more links. Also, special thanks to Matthew Gibson for all the information about the World Premiere Cast and Production Team and to Carolyn Cimini who provided the "Cantate" lyrics.
Literature:
- Georg Popp (Hrsg.), "Die Großen der Liebe" (Quell Verlag, Stuttgart 1989)
- Jacques Le Goff, "Die Intellektuellen im Mittelalter" (Klett Cotta, 2. Auflage, 1987)
- Aaron J. Gurjewitsch, "Das Individuum im Europäischen Mittelalter" (C.H. Beck'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung, München 1994)
Please note that there are many different ways to spell Abelard and Héloïse. Other transcriptions are: Peter Abälard, Peter Abaelard, Petrus Abaelardus, Pierre Abaelard, Heloise, Héloise, Éloise, Éloïse. For Abelard, I chose the transciption I found in most English textes, for Héloïse the one I liked the most (that's perhaps not logical, but it's the truth).
