    ENRICO GARZILLI

Dr. Garzilli's recording of the musical Rage of the Heart was produced by First Night Records in London, England, and released on Virgin/EMI. It features Michael Ball, one of the original stars of Les Miserables. Internationally acclaimed David Cullen (Andrew Lloyd Webber, Barbara Streisand, and many others) wrote the orchestrations, which were performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

The CD has been selling throughout Europe, and the song "Fire" is often used as a showcase piece by professional singers around the world.

Magic, another musical by Dr. Garzilli, was produced by Virgin/EMI records, and was performed in a series for German television. It is also available on CD in Europe.

The Smart Set, his latest exciting musical, is being prepared for performance next year. It was presented in repertory last season (formerly entitled Save Me the Waltz) in New York’s off-Broadway to great critical and audience acclaim.

His writings have been translated into many languages, and his music has been performed internationally. At the funeral of Pope John Paul I, which was broadcast worldwide to over a billion people, Dr. Garzilli was invited to read one of his poems, which he did to great acclaim.

An accomplished pianist and organist, Dr. Garzilli performed as a soloist for the premiere of Dave Brubeck’s Concert Mass. Dr. Garzilli’s book of literary criticism, Circles Without Center, was published by Harvard University Press. He holds advanced degrees in theology, philosophy, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Brown University.
